margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><strong>Let's Look at Financial Freedom being a Millionaire State of Mind</strong></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Assessing our standing in life brings us to a point where we need to go within and prepare our goals and objectives.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">For self-made millionaires, they have crossed out the objective of monetary freedom in their lives long prior to other people realizing any such matter as a millionaire blueprint, so to speak.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">By turning goals into truth and acting properly, monetary freedom seems a much closer concept than in the past.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">I'm saying that, individuals do not recognize that the philosophy behind monetary freedom relies on our mindset to money.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">In order to achieve financial freedom, we must explain our top priorities which consist of how we look at attracting money.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><strong>Caring for Wealth Attraction</strong></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">The first fundamental perspective of a millionaire's mindset is thinking that people are interested and ought to be interested in abundance and prosperity.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><em>Why not?</em></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Prosperity and abundance is a vehicle to help you live a life of purpose and passion, we may say, your true free will, to make your life work and to make our system go round and round.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Highly effective people who appear to be happy about what they do with their money, making the world a better place, seem to rise upward on the financial freedom scale.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">It's how successful people grow, and people like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Walt Disney, Henry Ford, Ben Franklin (Just a few of my favorites), and so many others today, in the past, and yet to arrive, are proof of this.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">For some, money represents their income that pays their living costs comfortably, and that's okay too.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Remember, there is no set amount in your bank account that determines success according to the law of manifestation.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><em>Ethics and interest and money need to not be removed from each other.</em></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">The reality is, cash is a car not just to make a living, however likewise to make a quality life, perhaps a quality car that represents your inner longing.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Discovering how to value money offers us a perspective that makes us responsible with our financial resources.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><strong>Do you have Money at Work for You?</strong></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">A millionaire's state of mind constantly presumes that to attract money means prosperity working for you and not the other way around.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Being a servant for cash and its equivalents can just be the same problem for greedy individuals and industrious individuals.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">The important key however is to find methods to rise over it and make cash work for you.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">(I always like to add that don't be shy to search the web for more helpful material and manifesting abundance in your life.)</div></div></div></div>All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4463853153069834012.post-88672508963632745662019-11-29T15:38:00.000-08:002020-02-11T05:14:30.719-08:00Leonardo Bonucci close to joining AC Milan from Juventus<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><br /><br /><h1 class="article__title" data-short-title="Milan close on Bonucci deal" itemprop="headline" style="background-color: white; font-size: 14px; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">The entire idea of twins sounds like something out of a wacky sci-fi story, presumably one that likewise includes Tralfamadorians or potentially cash trees. Truly, consider it: individuals with a hereditary copy, shaped in the meantime, and notwithstanding having a similar DNA? Better believe it, clones in the womb. Got it. C'mon, Vonnegut, you're extending reality too far this time. </span></div><div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #222222; font-family: lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></span></div><div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #222222; font-family: lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">Everybody knows the fundamental story of sexual intercourse. Mr. Sperm swims around and meets Ms. Egg, at that point blast — preparation! In any case, twins resemble the astute plot contort that nobody at any point saw coming. Ask any twin, and they'll reveal to you that having a characteristic clone is, well, essentially the coolest thing ever. Yet, being a twin is about something other than sharing mystery handshakes and calmly exchanging classes in secondary school. </span></div><div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #222222; font-family: lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></span></div><div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #222222; font-family: lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;">Indistinguishable twins have diverse fingerprints </span></div><div><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"></span><br /><div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #222222; font-family: lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">The expression "indistinguishable twins" isn't only a clever gathering anecdote about how your companion Chris looks a considerable measure like Sylvester Stallone (however yes, that is exceptionally persuading). Indistinguishable twins are called "indistinguishable" on the grounds that they practically are. Indistinguishable twins are nature's clones, and keeping in mind that they dislike having a similar activity figure, they can't resist having a similar DNA. In any case, as the New York Times calls attention to, regardless of the possibility that their faces look unclear, and regardless of the possibility that they wear coordinating T-shirts saying Thing #1 and Thing #2, indistinguishable twins have diverse fingerprints. </span></span></div><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"></span><br /><div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #222222; font-family: lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></span></span></div><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"></span><br /><div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #222222; font-family: lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">How could such profanation be conceivable? All things considered, in light of the fact that the whorls, circles, and entertaining shapes that we call fingerprints are "grating edges" from the womb. These edges are caused by an embryo touching the dividers encompassing them. As per specialists like Dr. Michael Roizen, the edge shapes change contingent upon the hatchling's position, also the thickness of the amniotic liquid spiraling around their fingers at various circumstances. Indistinguishable twins involve distinctive parts of the amniotic sac, so their hands press against better places. Fundamentally, the state of a man's fingerprints is more modified as your most loved burrito at Chipotle. </span></span></div><div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #222222; font-family: lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></span></span></div><div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #222222; font-family: lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">Along these lines, the Tech Museum of Innovation guarantees that checking fingerprints is about the main solid way police specialists can figure out which twin carried out a wrongdoing. No doubt about it, too bad Jimmy. You can't accuse your shoplifting for Timmy unless you wore gloves. </span></span></div><div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #222222; font-family: lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></span></span></div><div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #222222; font-family: lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">Indistinguishable and congenial twins are entirely unexpected things </span></span></div><br /><div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #222222; font-family: lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"></span><br /></span><div style="box-sizing: border-box;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">Grouping the "identical" and "fraternal" types into one "twin" category is like saying that key lime and apple are both "pies." It's time to decipher some twin-speak. Anyone who has twin-friends or twin-family has probably heard of the two variations before. What many may not realize is these two "types" of twins are created by entirely different situations within the woman's body.</span></span></div><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"></span></span><br /><div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">First off, identical twins. Going back to the birds and the bees, when the sperm fertilizes the egg, it becomes a zygote, resulting in one baby. But every once in a blue moon, that single zygote splits into two embryos, which results in — that's right — identical twins. That's why identicals, aka monozygotic twins, have the same DNA: they were the exact same zygote at the beginning, until they shook hands, parted ways, and decided to be two people instead. Now there's an amicable settlement.</span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">As far as fraternal twins go, the American Pregnancy Association says that's a whole other ballgame. Fraternal twins, aka dizygotic twins, happen when the mother has two eggs, and both of these eggs are fertilized by two separate sperm. Get it? Two eggs + two sperm = fraternal twins. So two fraternal twin sisters aren't "clones," and don't share any more DNA than regular siblings do. Instead, they're just sisters who rented out the same womb at the same time.</span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">Sometimes, one twin vanishes in the night</span></span></span></div><div><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"></span><br /></span></span><div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">Back before "ghosting" became a sketchy thing that people do on OKCupid, some twins were already masters at it. One of the eeriest things that can happen during a twin pregnancy is something called fetal resorption, or what experts like Professor Robert Wool call "vanishing twin syndrome." This describes a situation wherein a mother goes to an ultrasound, finds out she has twins, then returns later to discover that one of the twins has bamfed right out of existence, and she's now only going to have one baby. Ghosted!</span></span></span></span></div><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"></span><br /></span></span><div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></span></span></span></span></div><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"></span></span></span><br /><div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">So what happens to this poor vanished twin? Where do these teleportation powers come from? Thanks to X-Men comics, we now know. Vanished twins go on to become dangerous supervillains, like Charles Xavier's psychotic twin sister, Cassandra Nova. Watch your back, Charles.</span></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></span></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">The American Pregnancy Association offers the more plausible explanation that one twin dies during the early stages of the pregnancy, often from chromosomal abnormalities. Whatever fetal tissue remains is absorbed by the sibling, making it appear as if the dead twin vanished from thin air. It's estimated that this happens in 21 to 30 percent of multifetal pregnancies.</span></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></span></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">The living twin is usually perfectly healthy. So despite the bizarre conditions they were conceived in, these survivors possess no superpowers, no psychic personalities, and no big green Hulk-outs. However, in cases of vanishing fraternal twins, the survivors sometimes become chimeras, meaning one person with two sets of DNA. That's probably the closest we'll come to a superpower.</span></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></span></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">Twins that are separated at birth often lead bizarrely similar lives</span></span></span></span></div><div><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br /></span></span></span></span></div><div><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"></span><br /></span></span></span><div class="post-body entry-content" id="post-body-1963116495391194254" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.7em !important; text-align: justify; width: 765px;"><div itemprop="articleBody" style="box-sizing: border-box;"><div dir="ltr" style="box-sizing: border-box; text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><div style="box-sizing: border-box; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">The debate regarding nature vs. nurture will wage on for centuries, particularly once Skynet takes over and mankind tries really, really hard to pass the buck. General consensus is that both genetic and environmental factors play major roles in human development. But as far as twin psychology goes, the "nature" box should maybe be checked with a big fat Sharpie.</span></span></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></span></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">Twins who get separated at birth, totally unaware of each other's existence, often lead bizarrely parallel adult lives. What kind of shady, HYDRA-esque project would do something like separating twins? According to NPR, there was a secret research study done in the 1960s and 1970s. Even creepier, this study's results are locked in a vault until 2066. Yeah…</span></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></span></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">Anyway, one set of separated twins were Paula Bernstein and Elyse Schein, who finally reunited in their 30s. Aside from the obvious weirdness of meeting someone with the same face and voice, The Guardian describes their surprise at discovering that they were both writers with similar analytical personalities, political views, and quirky movie tastes. Both suffered from eating disorders as teenagers, edited their school newspapers, and studied film in college.</span></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></span></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">Then there are the "Jim Twins," according to Live Science, two separated twins who somehow both got named Jim. When they met as adults, they'd each been married twice — their first wives had been named Linda, and second wives named Betty. Weird, right? Both grew up in Ohio, were chain smokers, and drove similar cars.</span></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></span></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">Twins start socializing before they're even born</span></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></span></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">The womb is a considerable measure like your first condo out of school. It's confined, muddled, and you invest an excessive amount of energy draining bizarre beverages out of a significantly more odd tube. Yet, that first condo is all yours, and it's pristine to you, so you burrow it. The main thing that could improve it even is a cool, well disposed flat mate, and that is precisely what twins have. Ask (nearly) any twin, and they'll let you know: twins are tight. Many have an unbreakable bond. No joke, stick ain't got nothing on generally twins. Late proof demonstrates that twins really begin getting to be BFFs the distance back when regardless they're living together in the womb. </span></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></span></span></span></span></div><div style="box-sizing: border-box; text-align: center;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: large;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: medium;">It's hard to believe, but it's true. As indicated by Scientific American, twins get their social score on while they're still just embryos. By the fourteenth seven day stretch of incubation, twins begin connecting with their new mate. By Week 18, they're touching their accomplice more frequently than they're touching the dividers or themselves, and with more consultation, persistence, and core interest. Gen. Christopher Bogdan, program executive officer overseeing the F-35 program, told Dutch government officials that the cost per flying hour for the F-35A, which The Netherlands intends to buy, is $24,000, according to Capt. Natasha Waggoner, an Air Force spokeswoman. Bogdan provided the data to Dutch legislators, including a “side-by-side comparison of flying hour costs between the F-16 and the F-35,” she says.</div><div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: Bitter, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 1.69231em;">She says Bogdan characterized the figures as “preliminary.” Though flight training has begun on the F-35A and testing continues, the data gathered is fresh and does not reflect an entire airframe life’s worth of use.</div><div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: Bitter, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 1.69231em;">Ongoing durability testing will help program officials determine whether any parts or systems will require support that is not built into this estimate.</div><div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: Bitter, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 1.69231em;">This cost-per-flying-hour figure has been long sought by international buyers of the single-engine Lockheed Martin aircraft, as well as U.S. officials. As the price of the F-35 development has doubled since the contract to Lockheed Martin was issued in 2001 and in-service dates have slipped dramatically, would-be customers have grown increasingly cautious about not only the price to buy the fighter, but also to operate it.</div><div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: Bitter, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 1.69231em;">Lockheed Martin vowed at the program’s onset that the F-35 would cost less to operate than the aircraft it is replacing. Earlier this year, company officials said, “We agree the cost per flying hour will exceed that of the F-16.” But Lockheed expects the anticipated total lifetime cost will be less than that of legacy aircraft.</div><div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: Bitter, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 1.69231em;">The Netherlands’ plans to buy 85 of the fighters are under review, and officials there said last month they may cut as many as 33 from their purchase.</div><div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: Bitter, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 1.69231em;">U.S. Navy officials originally expected the F-35 total life-cycle price to exceed $1 trillion over 50 years of operations, but the U.S. services are looking for efficiencies. The Pentagon’s Cost Analysis and Program Evaluation office estimates that the Pentagon will spend $18.2 billion annually supporting all three F-35 variants, compared to the $11.1 billion it spent on legacy aircraft in 2010, according to the Government Accountability Office.</div><div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: Bitter, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 1.69231em;">The F-35 Joint Program Office did not release the cost-per-flying-hour figures for the F-35B, designed for short-takeoff-and-vertical landings, or the F-35C, optimized for carrier-based use. Those are expected to be released in the annual selected acquisition report expected to go to Congress in May or June.</div></div>All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4463853153069834012.post-4523015214644515212019-10-03T03:27:00.000-07:002020-02-11T05:14:31.308-08:00Parenting Sometimes Makes Us Crazy!<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/Daniel_Blanchard/1785050" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "avenir next", arial, "helvetica neue", helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Daniel Blanchard"><img alt="Expert Author Daniel Blanchard" class="photo" src="https://ezinearticles.com/members/mem_pics/Daniel-Blanchard_1667738.jpg" style="border: 0px; display: block; max-width: 160px;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Daniel Blanchard" /></a><br /><div id="article-body" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "avenir next", arial, "helvetica neue", helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; margin-top: 18px;"><div id="article-content"><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Have you ever seen a picture of one of those old baby cages hanging out a skyscraper's window from the 1930s? In the 1930s, parents were worried about their kids' health because of the poor air quality in those big, old buildings.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">I guess this fresh air thing must have been a good thing because in some ways it still persists today. Scandinavian parents often park their little ones in strollers outside of restaurants while they go inside to take a break. They say the fresh air, and even the cold air is good for their babies' lung development.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">I'm not disagreeing with getting our little ones some fresh air. But, in that same vein, I don't think that we'll see American parents today hanging their kids outside their 10th story apartment window in a cage. Nor, will we see parents leaving their little ones outside unattended in the cold to build up their lung capacity.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">You want to know what else sounds a little crazy? Today, American parents are taking youth sports too seriously. Rules have even been put into place at some youth competitions to discourage cheering. Officials are continually reminding parents of what appropriate behavior is at games. And signs are posted all over just in case parents have forgotten the rules. Coaches even send behavior contracts home for athletes and their parents to sign. Police are now stationed at a lot of the youth games taking place every day across this great big country of ours. Do you remember this craziness when we were kids? No. Me neither. Parents have gotten a little crazy with youth sports, wouldn't you agree? Parents, let's just relax a little and let our kids have some fun. Okay?</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Now, as my Granddaddy always said, "Go learn, lead and lay the way to a better world for all of us." Remember, sometimes things can get a little crazy, however, through some introspection and self-reflections we can stop some of the craziness right now. And once again parents, thanks in advance for all that you do and all that you will do...</div></div></div></div>All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4463853153069834012.post-13824146011261582019-10-03T03:26:00.000-07:002020-02-11T05:14:31.380-08:00Is Parenting An Art or A Science?<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/Daniel_Blanchard/1785050" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "avenir next", arial, "helvetica neue", helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Daniel Blanchard"><img alt="Expert Author Daniel Blanchard" class="photo" src="https://ezinearticles.com/members/mem_pics/Daniel-Blanchard_1667738.jpg" style="border: 0px; display: block; max-width: 160px;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Daniel Blanchard" /></a><br /><div id="article-body" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "avenir next", arial, "helvetica neue", helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; margin-top: 18px;"><div id="article-content"><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">We parents would prefer to have a sure-proof parenting manual that would answer all of our questions in a straight forward manner. We want exact steps that we could follow as easy as a well-written formula or maybe we would even settle for a simple but effective recipe like one gets when baking a cake. We want a proven way to raise our kids.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Sadly, there are no perfect parenting books, and there isn't an ideal scientific formula that can answer our questions. Through much experimenting and support from others who are experienced, there are benefits to be gained that we might be able to measure and analyze like a scientist. However, crunching parenting data will always be imperfect.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">As we explore the opposite side of the equation, the art of parenting, sometimes we find that side even messier. And all we can do is just stay calm, and breathe. That's right. Just breathe. Breathe because you deserve it. You are not alone. You do matter. And you are making a difference. No matter what our kids say, we really are the most important people in their lives, and believe it or not, they really are listening to us.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Instead of constantly worrying about our parenting prowess, let's just look for the simplicity in the complexity of parenting. Let's be okay with the unknown and creating something new and artistic through parenting. Let's learn how to dance on the edge. Heck, I say let's even learn how to dance in the rain on the edge again, like when we were kids. Dancing in the rain sounds better than waiting helplessly for the storm to pass, doesn't it?</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Now, as my Granddaddy always said, "Let's go learn, lead and lay the way to a better world for all of us." Let's know that parenting is kind of like a science and an art all mixed up in some delightful crazy and messy way for us to meander through in the best way we possibly can. And once again parents, thanks in advance for all that you do, and all that you will do...</div></div></div></div>All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4463853153069834012.post-13380634677569554462019-09-24T05:05:00.000-07:002020-02-11T05:14:31.450-08:00Green Tea - The Disadvantages<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/Lynne_Evans/684731" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Lynne Evans"><img alt="Expert Author Lynne Evans" class="photo" src="https://ezinearticles.com/members/mem_pics/Lynne-Evans_642099.jpg" style="border: 0px; display: block; max-width: 160px;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Lynne Evans" /></a><br /><div id="article-body" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; margin-top: 18px;"><div id="article-content"><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Everyone believes that green tea is one of the healthiest drinks we have. However, if we drink too much of it, it could adversely affect our kidneys. However, it is rare for us to be really badly affected by green tea consumption. It can also damage our livers. However, it should be pointed out that the beverage's health advantages far outweigh its disadvantages, as long as you don't drink excessive amounts of it.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Scientists say that you can safely drink up to ten cups of green tea a day. The problems arise when you take supplements. These may contain up to fifty times the amount of polyphenols than a cup of the tea.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Experiments conducted on rats, mice and dogs have shown that liver poisoning can occur when the animals are given excessive amounts of polyphenols.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Another problem with drinking green tea is that, believe it or not, it contains caffeine. If you have problems with caffeine, avoid green tea as it can result in insomnia, an upset stomach and even nausea and irritability.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">If you have to take blood thinners such as coumarin or warfarin, it might be better not to drink it because it contains vitamin K. Ask your doctor if you can drink the beverage and also find out how much is safe for you to drink.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">You shouldn't drink green tea and take aspirin either.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">During pregnancy it is unwise to take supplements as these are not stringently regulated. The tea itself is fine, it's the extracts and supplements that can cause problems.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">The catechins in hot green tea may ward off colds and flu, especially if you have it with lemon and honey rather than using sugar as a sweetener. However, the caffeine found in the drink can inhibit the body's ability to absorb iron. Drinking your tea with fresh lemon juice squeezed into it though, can mitigate the effect of the tea. To combat this possible lack of iron, eat plenty of vitamin C rich foods such as oranges, broccoli, other brassicas and liver.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">If you are on a diet, the amount of sweeteners you stir into your cup will add calories to your drink. A cup of green tea without sweetenings has zero calories.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Basically, if you are a healthy person, and consume this beverage in moderation, it should be a health-giving drink. Use common sense and don't drink copious amounts of the stuff.</div></div></div></div>All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4463853153069834012.post-72314896813465376452019-09-24T05:04:00.000-07:002020-02-11T05:14:31.523-08:00Is Coffee Good for Your Skin?<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/Lynne_Evans/684731" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Lynne Evans"><img alt="Expert Author Lynne Evans" class="photo" src="https://ezinearticles.com/members/mem_pics/Lynne-Evans_642099.jpg" style="border: 0px; display: block; max-width: 160px;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Lynne Evans" /></a><br /><div id="article-body" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; margin-top: 18px;"><div id="article-content"><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Drinking coffee is good for your skin, but it is even better for it if you use it externally. These days you can find many skin products containing coffee. Check out the list of ingredients on tubes and packaging before buying such items.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">You can use it to get rid of puffiness around your eyes. It also boosts the production of antioxidants and protects your skin from the harmful UVB rays, which can produce melanoma.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">One useful life hack is to keep a supply of coffee ice cubes which you can use to gently rub over any swollen areas on your face.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Apart from these benefits, it boosts skin-cell regeneration, and increases your collagen levels. Collagen helps your skin keep its youthful appearance because its elasticity is retained.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">If these facts haven't yet convinced you of coffee's health benefits, then consider these too; Coffee can help your blood circulate and if you drink it regularly, you will know that it gives you a boost of energy.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">You can make your own facial scrub with this magical liquid and use it as an exfoliator which will make your skin glow with health. Make the scrub by combining coffee, olive oil and brown sugar. Use it to gently remove dead skin cells.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">It is also very good for your hair and scalp, after all your scalp is skin which also needs nourishment. This operation was very costly in labor expense and difficult to manage. Now, new technology has emerged that makes the operator assisted call much easier to handle and it cuts down labor costs significantly. It also makes the customer experience much better.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Prior to 1995, most traditional conference calls required operators to either dial out to the conferees or take incoming calls from the conferees, which would allow them to place the conferees into conference. With the advent of reservationless conferencing in the mid 90's, the operators were taken out of the equation and customers could place their own conference calls without ever having to speak to an operator, unless they had a problem.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Even though reservationless conferencing exploded and most everyone began using this form of conferencing, there was still a need for "high touch" operator assisted calls. Quarterly earnings conference calls from public companies, continuing education classroom calls, and "town hall" political forums all required the use of operators to place conferees into conference and to perform "Q&A" or polling sessions. The operators are also used to gather important information from the incoming conferees, such as name, company, email and phone number.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Around 2007, operator assisted conferencing started growing again. As these operator calls grew, labor costs increased and started growing again. As these calls became larger, i.e. 500 to 1500 parties, human error became more of a problem. Operators would make mistakes pronouncing conferee names. They would misspell names, enter wrong email and telephone numbers and place some of the people into the wrong conferences.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">As these human errors grew, certain conference bridge providers started developing technology to solve these issues. Now, you can get operator assisted calls that minimize the amount of interaction with operators. The new technology allows for conferees to dial into the bridge, input their pin code and be placed automatically into the conference. A "voice capture" application allows the moderator of the call to program up to five questions that the conference bridge can gather automatically from each conferee. All of this information is then recorded and at the end of each call is emailed back to the moderator. Now, only one operator is needed to run the Q&A or do polling. This new approach reduces the costs of the conference call and the costs to the customer.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">The operators that were used for these calls can now be deployed to other activities, such as assisting customers with their web conferences and webinars, becoming more involved in customer demos and helping with customer recordings.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">As a customer, you now have new options for your operator assisted calls, ask your current provider for these high tech options and how you can reduce your costs on your operator conference calls.</div></div></div></div>All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4463853153069834012.post-21084095140739262122019-09-18T14:26:00.000-07:002020-02-11T05:14:31.687-08:00Social Security and The 70/70 Retirement Program<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/Michael_R._Burns/329647" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Michael R. Bill was a Kansas City native, who started from scratch investing at age 72, and over the next 18 years was able to accumulate a net worth of one million dollars. Bill was able to do this because he continued to work until 84 at his entry level job and he didn't take his Social Security until he was 70. I call Bill's retirement program the 70/70 Retirement Program.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">The first part of the 70/70 Retirement Program involves working until at least 70 years old. A study from the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College shows that if all the Baby Boomer generation were to retire at 62 years old, 84% would be in jeopardy of running out of money during their retirement years. Furthermore, the study indicated that if these Baby Boomers waited until 66 years old to retire, 50% would still be in jeopardy of running out of money. However, if the Boomer group worked until 70 before taking their retirement, only 14% would still be in the group that could run out of money in retirement. It becomes fairly obvious that continuing to work until 70 leads to a more secure and rewarding retirement.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">The second part of the 70/70 Retirement Program focuses on waiting until 70 years old to take your Social Security. Bill Fisher waited until 70 to take his Social Security and it meant a difference of an additional $2200. per month. If Bill would have taken his Social Security at 62, he would have received $1100. per month. Instead, Bill waited until 70 and received $3300. per month.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Bill lived to be 93 years old. He earned a total of $910,000. over the lifetime of his Social Security payments. If he had taken his Social Security at 62, he would have earned only $405,000. over his lifetime, which is a difference of over $500,000. in additional income during Bill's retirement years. What is also amazing is that the breakeven point to where Bill started making more money was only 48 months. In other words, Bill caught up to the 62 retirement option in 48 months or when he was 74 years old. Every month after that, Bill made $2200. more each month. This was additional found money that Bill could use to invest in stocks, bonds and residential real estate.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">The 70/70 Retirement Program is easy to follow. You should plan on working until you are 70 years old and you should wait to take your Social Security until you are 70 years old. This will lead to a more secure and rewarding retirement for you and your family.</div></div></div></div>All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4463853153069834012.post-8234286002661785262019-09-12T05:14:00.001-07:002020-02-11T05:14:31.829-08:00Planning Your Child's Education In A Digital Learning Age<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/William_A._Edwards/1222533" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author William A. Well, we are still not there although I suppose that one could argue that we're getting close. The point is that education is now available in many forms to children and parents have to consider which of those best suit their kids. Having raised seven children I am in a good position to offer advice on this matter, at least as far as the USA goes because that is where I live and brought up my kids.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">A school recently began offering online Physical Education courses. Huh? That's right! Children watch other kids working out, playing games or performing various exercises. After watching the online videos the children try to physically copy what they see and must send short videos of their own attempts back to the provider. I never much cared for the lack of privacy generated by kids going through puberty having to shower together after physical education class ended for the day, so that would have been perfect for me. Even some Shop classes are now available online. These unusual choices are an example of how far we have come since home schooling first appeared on the scene years ago. However, home schooling and computer courses are not for everyone.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">While my kids were growing up I was either working at home or fulfilling speaking dates on the road for months at a time. This placed a lot of pressure on my wife who also had a small home office style business. When I was at home I shared the responsibility for watching the kids and transporting them where they needed to go. We decided that home schooling was not practical for our family due to the number of children we had at home and the fact that both of us were busy working during most of the day. However, just because you send your kids to traditional school does not mean you do not need to devote a lot of time to their education.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Every school our kids ever attended seemed to feel that parents should be at the beck and call of the teachers and administrators. It seemed like they felt that parents needed to be as involved with the education of their kids as the teachers were. That sounds great and seems right, but when you have to earn a living there are certain practicalities that insert themselves into your life like working eight or more hours each week day. Then, there were the endless fund raising events and programs. Whatever happened to all that lotto money the states were supposed to be sending to their schools?</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">My wife and I have always been supportive of teachers and each time a new semester started we sent far more supplies in than were requested to make sure that our children's educators would not have to dip too far in their own pockets for supplies and such. The fact that teachers are under paid and under supplied is a national tragedy and just wrong. Having said that, we often felt that there were many times when teachers or administrators over reacted to situations or demanded too much parental involvement in school activities and those times ended up costing our family in terms of lost revenue. Lost revenue is a big thing when you have seven kids.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Overall, I would say that going to traditional school benefitted our children regardless of our battles with educators and even though the social interactions they had were not always positive. Kids will be kids and that means occasion fights, disagreements and peer pressure situations will occur. My feeling is that those are all things that most of us will face at some time in life anyway so kids might as well learn how to deal with them while they are still young. In a perfect world school would be just about learning and people would all get along. Sadly, we do not live in a perfect world. Some parents believe that many unfortunate situations can be avoided by home schooling and have made that choice.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">The upside to home schooling is that most kids taught that way end up better educated and focused on learning. They tend to be more open to all subjects rather than just those that interest them and many of these children develop superior study habits. Although they miss out on things like social interactions, sports and other elective activities, even the most traditional educators are now beginning to question the actual value of expensive elective programs that seem to benefit the few more than the many. In a world of tight budgets and less money available for education tough choices have to be made. I understand that and just hope that the choices made reflect reality instead of just the need to be politically correct or take things away from kids that can enhance their educational experience.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">In the case of people who have various restrictions based on things like religion or their lifestyle choices most traditional schools and even many home learning programs may not meet their needs. Private schools exist for most of those folks and that may be their best bet. They can also check out some of the religious or lifestyle based home schooling programs available if they can spare the time needed to supervise their children while they learn at home and afford the costs involved. The key to making any decision about your child's education is to start educating yourself about the choices out there for schooling of any type long before they are ready to start school.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Learning starts at birth. My wife and I spent a lot of time talking with our children and interacting with them as often as possible from the time they were born. As soon as they began showing signs that they could understand us we began teaching them things like manners, reading to them and choosing what we felt they should watch on TV. We also researched the various methods of education available to us at that time. We chose traditional schools, but enhanced that choice by spending time with them, sharing family history and making sure that our kids knew that we did not always agree with everything that educators said or curriculums taught. Sometimes that brought us in direct conflict with the schools they attended. Those situations were just part of the price of being parents as far as we were concerned.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Many states now offer online learning for kids. I believe this is the natural development of how deeply digital devices have intruded into our lives and would have eventually come to pass no matter how many people might oppose it. For some this is a huge benefit, especially for kids who live in areas where a trip to their local school could mean a long bus ride if school buses were even available. It also benefits children who might live in areas where an early morning walk or public bus ride to school could put them in physical or stranger danger. Digital learning in this form can also benefit children who are gifted or require special attention that their traditional school situation might not have available to best suit their needs.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">In the end any educational choice you make for your kids will probably come back to haunt you at some point because we do not live in a perfect world. That is why it is so important to block out the noise from everyone who feels that a certain type of learning environment is just what your children need. You need make that decision for yourself based on your own family situation. If they are nothing else children are extremely adaptable. As an only child I hated my first few weeks of school and having to mingle with so many kids. By the end of that first semester I had made friends with several of my classmates and could not wait to return to school after the holidays.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">If you do your homework and take into consideration the needs of your children as well as the needs of your family when you make learning choices you will probably have the right outcome for your situation. The one thing that kids need more than anything else is time with their parents. So make sure that any choice you make includes that vital element. Share your family values, history, stories and genealogy with your kids. Knowing where you came from is as important as knowing where you are going in life and I feel that the more you know about your family, the more you can discover about yourself.</div></div></div></div>All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4463853153069834012.post-72028312490396666162019-09-12T05:14:00.000-07:002020-02-11T05:14:31.763-08:00How To Stay Safe In A World Of Opportunistic Terrorist Attacks<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/William_A._Edwards/1222533" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author William A. I am an ex-Marine who guarded Ed Koch when he was mayor of New York City while he was in office. I have also been in charge of the private security for an entire Queens, NYC, neighborhood with a large shopping area and thousands of residents. During that time I was able to reduce crime and cut car thefts to a fraction of what they were before I arrived. More importantly, I kept my family safe over the years from any and all threats. With seven children to look after that was never an easy task for my wife and I. If I could do all those things I can only hope you will take the advice I now offer to you which can help to protect you from terrorist attacks and other dangers.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Whether it is a carefully organized and well planned attack or just the work of some lone wolf ideologue, any successful terrorist attack depends on the element of surprise to be successful. That leaves all of us vulnerable to the whims of these terrorists unless we find a cave to live in. Since staying in one place or avoiding public areas on a regular basis is not a realistic option for most people, we have to do the next best thing. We must prepare ourselves and decide in advance what to do if the worst happens. I believe that both the safest and, equally, most dangerous people in the world are those who plan ahead and decide how they will react to situations before they occur.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">A U.S. Government official recently said that it is impossible to intercept or stop every terrorist threat against U.S. Citizens both at home and abroad. I agree with that assessment that makes it all the more important to be vigilant and have a plan from the moment you step out of your home to the second you return. Part of that plan means that you should always be aware of your environment. Travel with friends or relatives whenever possible, especially if you plan on bringing younger children or disabled persons with you. Plan your outings carefully, tell a family member or close friend to call you while you are out and after you return. Be safety smart inside your vehicle: Keep the windows closed, the doors locked and make all your vehicle entries and exists as quickly as possible.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">If you have been grocery shopping load your vehicle in front of the store or ask an employee to accompany you and have them wait until you are finished loading your purchases into your vehicle before they leave. If you go to the mall never park more than fifty feet away from a primary entrance area even if you have to wait a while for a spot. When going out at night take advantage of valet parking when it is available or choose well lit areas with many other cars and people nearby that are close to the entrance you plan to use to whatever place you are going. For example, most crimes of opportunity take place because criminals look for individual people who visit places like health spas, malls, convenient stores and entertainment venues late at night or early in the morning.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">When you head out keep your eyes and ears open. Look for people or vehicles that seem out of place. If someone you do not know approaches you stop them in their tracks by telling them in a loud and clear voice that you do not know them, value your personal space and cannot help them with whatever question or problem they have while they are at least six feet away from you. Yea, it is rude, but it also might save you from being car jacked, kidnapped or worst. Always appear confident, avoid smiling at strangers and keep a generally stern look on your face. Executives are taught this trick all over the world which explains why many of them often look like they are angry out in public.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">When you visit any public place such as a sports/entertainment venue, mall, store, restaurant, theater, airport or even a school or library, look for easy exit points and make a mental note of them. Sit near exits and avoid situations where you may be forced to climb over people to get out in a hurry. Given the recent movie theater attacks, I recommend that people avoid crowded show times and sit at the end of aisles near exits. If you hear gun fire afar off, head in the opposite direction and get out of wherever you are. Find a place of complete safety which means an area away from and locked off from the trouble. You can always follow conventional wisdom by waiting for law enforcement officers to arrive and instruct you or try to hide, but that might get you killed. Equally important, never stay in an area after an incident because most sophisticated attackers plant secondary devices or plan after attacks to take advantage of the false sense of security that exists after an incident ends.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">If you have children teach them the best way to get out of their school in a hurry in case of a fire, explosion or attack. That could mean using an open window, emergency exit, kitchen or shop area door or loading dock to get out. Avoid gathering places like crowded classrooms, libraries, administration offices or lunch rooms which attackers are likely to target first. Teach them to always "run away from the trouble" and head in the opposite direction. Once they are out tell children to as get far away from the school property as they can before they call you. Identify safe areas with access to land line phones that exist nearby your child's school. Waiting for emergency services directions is likely a must for kids in Kindergarten, but children in First Grade and on up can probably save their own lives by getting out and doing it quickly. It is a little known fact that most police agencies have a plan of action for school attack incidents that keep their personnel from actually going in and confronting attackers until they can be sure of their own safety.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">When an attack breaks out in a crowded public area and you feel there is no good way to get out fast or safely, fall to the ground exactly where you are and play dead. Be sure anyone with you does the same. Even if people try to pick you up or check on you, remain still and appear lifeless until the attack has been neutralized by law enforcement or others. If you are surrounded by bloodied victims, wipe some on your head so that it is visible to attackers. Most people that panic or fail to get down on the ground in those situations risk being shot or hit with shrapnel. Hiding might be a mistake in such situations because attackers will look for people trying to escape or find places to hide. Again, it is all about deciding how you will react to any unsafe situation in advance.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">When it comes to travel we are all in the hands of those who run the planes, buses and trains. Sitting in safer areas like the back of a plane, rear cars of a train or near any exit door or window that is not right in front of a bus is always a good idea. Travel light and keep the essentials on your person (passports, money, identification). If something happens during your trip having cash, cards and I.d. can be a huge help after the fact. Never board a plane, bus or train if you feel there is a threat. You can identify threats by noticing people who seem distracted, nervous, over determined to board or are wearing outfits that do not match or appear odd for the situation (Good clothes, bad shoes; Clothing that is not weather appropriate as if they know they will not need to worry about being hot or cold; People wearing clothes with home stitching or who seem to be favoring a pocket or other area on their person as if they are hiding something).</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Should you go out and buy a weapon if you do not have one? Probably not, especially if you have little or no training on how to use in in emergency situations. That type of training means a lot more than just learning how to shoot at a gun range. If you do carry a weapon be sure that all applicable laws make it available for your use. For example, you might live in a area where you have to keep your weapon unloaded in your vehicle and have the ammunition stored or locked away from the weapon. That neutralizes the weapon and makes it all but useless in an emergency situation. That weapon would be better suited for protection in the home as long as it is safely stored away from children or people that are not qualified or able to use it.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">You can always arm yourself with items like tear gas, a stun gun or a Taser designed for use by civilians. Even everyday items like umbrellas, large belt buckles, legal pocket knives and box cutters can quickly turn into defensive weapons. These can all be helpful, but require relatively close contact with a perpetrator to be effective. Remember, your brain is still your best defensive weapon against any terrorist attack or potential threat. Be aware, plan ahead and take care. Never try to be a hero unless you have the skills or tools to do the job. Trying to save someone else may get you killed.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Always teach your family or those you hang with to stay close to you while you're out. If they have to go to another part of a building or area, make sure you set an emergency meeting place such as your car or another place out of the danger zone which is generally several hundred or thousand feet away from where you are. Always get out FAST. If you bike to a location, never try to use the bike to get away in a hurry if it is locked up. The few seconds it takes you to unlock a bike can make you a target for those looking to do as much damage as they can. Moving targets are harder to hit than you think, so perpetrators will always look for people who are standing still or moving slowly.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Dogs can be a terrific weapon to use against potential human threats. This is especially true if you happen to have an easily trainable, loyal and large animal like a German Shepherd. Just the appearance of a dog like that will often concern an attacker enough to avoid you as a target. If you can afford it, a number of excellent training programs and security dog companies offer animals that are carefully trained and exist to keep you safe. However, even a dog as small as a Chihuahua can scare off intruders or even attackers with their loud bark and often fierce stance. Whatever you choose to insure your safety, always be sure it includes using your own common sense and willingness to plan ahead before you arm yourself with anything else.</div></div></div></div>All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4463853153069834012.post-70281310932058730412019-09-01T18:02:00.001-07:002020-02-11T05:14:31.954-08:00Times When A Wife Has to Support Her Husband at Work-Related Social Events<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/Susan_Leigh/399535" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Susan Leigh"><img alt="Expert Author Susan Leigh" class="photo" src="https://ezinearticles.com/members/mem_pics/Susan-Leigh_394131.jpg" style="border: 0px; display: block; max-width: 160px;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Susan Leigh" /></a><br /><div id="article-body" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; margin-top: 18px;"><div id="article-content"><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">There are times when a wife has to support her husband at work-related social events. They may be formal events, lavish gala dinners, or smaller, more intimate affairs. Either way, they can be quite stressful times for a wife or partner, who may not know many of the people or be unaware of the subtleties and complexities of company politics. She may feel out of her depth, especially if her husband is very sociable or quite senior in the company.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Work events are often uncomfortable for partners. Their experience often encompasses a room full of strangers, all talking about things that they don't know, understand or even particularly care about. Smiling and being pleasant may be fine for an hour or two at a retirement or Christmas party, but something more formal or involving a weekend away at a company retreat can feel a long time to be on one's best behaviour.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><b>If you find yourself in this situation here are some thoughts on the subject:</b></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">- Explain to your husband how you feel. Stay calm and tell him that you need him to be supportive, at least at first, until you feel more confident and have got to know a few people. Insist that he respects your concerns, introduces you to some friendly people and keeps an eye on you, checking that you are okay from time to time. Ensure that if you need him to come and rescue you he will be willing to oblige. Perhaps agree an emergency signal or code in advance.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">- Help yourself a little by doing some preparation in advance. If appropriate, arrange to meet your husband for lunch and call at the office first, so that you can say hello and meet some of his colleagues. Watch interesting documentaries, keep up to date with the news, read gossip magazines so that you are knowledgeable on several areas of topical interest. Many people want to relax and have a pleasant time at these events. Yes, some networking and cozying up to the boss will go on, but most people are also looking forward to relaxing and having a pleasant time.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">- Be yourself and smile. Remind yourself of the many qualities that your family, friends and husband value about you. This situation requires you to leave your familiar comfort zone. Treat the event as a fun opportunity but also as almost a work commitment. You're here to support your husband in his work-related role. So it's important to take it steady with the alcohol, be discrete in your conversations and then relax and avail yourself of the amenities.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">- Use it as a time to see another side to your husband. You rarely have the chance to see him away from home or with people other than friends and family. It can be interesting to see him in a different light, interacting with colleagues and noticing how they respond to him. It's an opportunity to learn something about this major area of his life, the stresses he is under, the responsibilities he shoulders. And it's also interesting to be able to put a face to some of the names he talks about at home, to establish some sort of relationship with the people he mixes with everyday.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">You may not be a high-flying executive or have the same skill sets that he has but you have many valuable attributes and accomplishments of your own. Enjoy your opportunity to mix and meet with other people, to practise your people skills and then to relax and enjoy a lovely time together.</div></div></div></div>All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4463853153069834012.post-37893298545486891812019-09-01T18:02:00.000-07:002020-02-11T05:14:31.892-08:00The Best Way to Demonstrate Commitment to Others<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/Susan_Leigh/399535" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Susan Leigh"><img alt="Expert Author Susan Leigh" class="photo" src="https://ezinearticles.com/members/mem_pics/Susan-Leigh_394131.jpg" style="border: 0px; display: block; max-width: 160px;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Susan Leigh" /></a><br /><div id="article-body" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; margin-top: 18px;"><div id="article-content"><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">How do other people know that we care about them unless we let them know somehow? The way we treat them, talk to them, our behaviour and actions are all important parts of the messages we send to the people in our lives. Let's look at some of the best ways to demonstrate our commitment to our special relationships.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">- Time is one of the most valuable things that we have. Much of our time is spoken for and as such is non-negotiable. We may have a job, be in education, have responsibilities and appointments, all of which swallow up vast chunks of our time. Allocating some of our important free time to others lets them know that we value their company, that we are choosing to spend time with them.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">- A regular date with each other can be an important part of our commitment to them. Rather than a more hit-and-miss situation, making a regular commitment can demonstrate that we are prepared to become involved in something that is more of a joint venture. It may include becoming part of a regular group, deciding to learn to dance together or making a committed involvement towards doing something on a regular basis. Sharing and undertaking things together is an important way of showing that we care.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">- Loyalty is an important way of demonstrating commitment. Standing up for someone especially when they are not present shows that we care about them and are prepared to say so in public. Being loyal to the relationship is also about fidelity, being faithful to the other person and demonstrating that we value the relationship and the part it plays in our life. We are committed to keeping our integrity at times of temptation or when things are perhaps a little difficult in the relationship.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">- Honesty matters. Telling the truth even when it may be a tough choice is an important commitment to the relationship. It demonstrates that it is built on solid ground, not on lies and deceit. Many people value honesty as the most important part of a relationship. It can be very difficult for a relationship to recover, or to believe someone after they have been caught in a lie, even if it was a small one or told with the best of intentions.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">- Respect includes good manners and treating each other politely and with consideration. It also includes taking the time to find out how the other person thinks and feels, what is important to them. It is about respecting their values even if we don't necessarily share them. We can appreciate their point of view, empathise with their rationale and still agree to disagree, respectfully. Different points of view can precipitate interesting conversations and discussions.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">- Quality communications are a two-way process. In an important relationship making the effort and investing in good quality communications forms the cornerstone of a valuable commitment to each other. Committing to regular open and honest communications can often ensure that a relationship remains a solid, supportive and important part of our life.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Demonstrating commitment includes many other attributes. Being patient with each other, tolerant of each others ways, perhaps being polite to their awful friends or family are all ways of showing that we are able to think about others and their needs and comfort. At times being committed to another can require seeing the bigger picture, that something matters so much to the other person that it is worth making the effort for. When we do that we demonstrate our commitment to the other person.</div></div></div></div>All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4463853153069834012.post-59961297281150077672019-08-28T10:32:00.001-07:002020-02-11T05:14:32.079-08:00Use Your Leaflets to Present You and Your Business Well<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/Susan_Leigh/399535" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Susan Leigh"><img alt="Expert Author Susan Leigh" class="photo" src="https://ezinearticles.com/members/mem_pics/Susan-Leigh_394131.jpg" style="border: 0px; display: block; max-width: 160px;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Susan Leigh" /></a><br /><div id="article-body" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; margin-top: 18px;"><div id="article-content"><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Leaflets can be used in a myriad of different ways, from a random house drop to specifically targeting individual clients. They are an opportunity to inform people and be read at their leisure. An interesting, informative leaflet may well be kept for backup support and referred to at times of need. As a business coach, I work with clients to help them appreciate how valuable a good quality leaflet can be.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">A good leaflet will often be used to as a point of reference for people, as increasingly goods and services are being outsourced to external suppliers. Many people rely on having an efficient database of suppliers and consultants that they can turn to when they need specialist input into their business. Detailing clearly and concisely all that you have to offer can make you a crucial part of someones' support mechanism. It is important to make the most of that opportunity. Use your shop window well.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">So think about the size and shape of your leaflet. How many sections are there to your business? Do you have many key personnel, products, locations, skill sets? Do they all need to be individually promoted or would some be okay as part of a sub-section? Pretend to be your own potential client. What would you want or need in order to come to you and your business? Focus on the key skills and benefits of your business and then endeavour to promote those areas as professionally as possible.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Use your leaflet as a way of encouraging people to contact you further. They need to enter the 'shop' and discuss their requirements. So it is important to focus on the main aspects to promote and how best to present them.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">- Make your leaflet part of your company brand. Use a colour, logo, slogan, style that identifies you from the rest. Keep that theme on all your company promotional material so that you establish a recognisable brand identity.<br />- The front page of the leaflet has to have impact, something that catches a persons eye so that they choose to pick up and keep your leaflet rather than the others on offer<br />- Good quality paper, print and artwork all add to a professional appearance. A good graphic designer and printer are assets at this time.<br />- Make it easy to read and understand. Pithy bullet points are useful points of reference.<br />- Detail individual skill sets, training, areas of expertise if relevant. Maybe an example of a success story.<br />- Contact details, business locations, how to order, trading hours, discounts are all useful information to include.<br />- Pictures, imagery, humour are all worth considering.<br />- Keep your leaflet up-to-date. Times change, markets move on, so scrutinise your leaflet from time to time. Is it still up to date and relevant, or would it benefit from a face lift. Brands do move on and evolve. Stay with the times and use a re-print as an opportunity to evaluate where you are in your business sector. Decide if that is that okay or are you looking to expand or widen your client base? Your leaflet is a way of spreading that message.</div></div></div></div>All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4463853153069834012.post-70017964622174509472019-08-28T10:32:00.000-07:002020-02-11T05:14:32.016-08:00How to Present Your Business Effectively<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/Susan_Leigh/399535" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Susan Leigh"><img alt="Expert Author Susan Leigh" class="photo" src="https://ezinearticles.com/members/mem_pics/Susan-Leigh_394131.jpg" style="border: 0px; display: block; max-width: 160px;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Susan Leigh" /></a><br /><div id="article-body" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; margin-top: 18px;"><div id="article-content"><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Many businesses now require that their senior staff are able to present themselves and their business expertise to clients and customers in either meetings or forum situations. To achieve promotion and success in business, staff have to be able to demonstrate competency in this field. The truth is, it can be quite a large stumbling block for many people.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Presentations and talking to an audience are one area where many articulate, intelligent people find themselves full of fear and dread. Reminiscent of the school room, making a mess of an answer and finding all the other children laughing and sneering, many people want to protect themselves from that level of exposure and vulnerability. Some people are able to override those feelings. Other people begin to sweat, choke on their words, become dry mouthed, have a mental block. As a Counsellor and Business Coach I work with my clients to discover ways of remedying this situation and moving on from it.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">We work with techniques to learn how to reinforce confidence and self belief. Self hypnosis is a powerful tool for imagining how we want to be, would like to be in that presentation situation. It does not matter where it is, from a best mans' speech to a huge function or dinner, seeing that image of ourself, relaxed, comfortable, enjoying being centre stage for a time, can really build a strong sense of comfort and well being. Imagine feeling relaxed, taking your time, pausing to enjoy the moment and let the audience digest what has been said, all these thoughts take the pressure off the situation and yourself.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Positive self talk is a good technique too. Avoid phrases with the word 'not' in them. Focus on your internal chatter. Many people find that they are saying things like, 'I am not stressed/ tense/ anxious'. It is more positive to say 'I can do this', 'I have practised this and know what to say' ' I am familiar with my subject and know what I want to say'.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">The truth is, if things do not go quite to plan, usually the people in the room are supportive. Many of them will have been in similar situations and are able to appreciate the stress of being centre stage and empathise with you. Also, no one knows exactly what should have been said, so going slightly off point is not the end of the world. Stop and have a drink of water, breathe in and out, find your place in your notes and start again.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Sometimes people find that having too many notes or a tightly scripted speech is far too inflexible. I find that many of my clients perform far better when they have bullet points to remind them of each section of the talk. They have usually been working on the content for some time and so know the subject very well. Keeping a marker on each section of the talk and moving through each item one at a time is often far less restrictive as they begin to speak.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">On a practical level, it is often a good idea to arrive a little early to the presentation venue. Familiarise yourself with the room, its layout, the seating arrangements. Check that any equipment is working. Get a glass of water and any other aids handy.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Once the talk has started find some friendly faces in the crowd. They are a good place to focus because these are the people who will nod encouragement or agreement from time to time. Then relax and enjoy your moment in the spotlight, your opportunity to show how well you can do.</div></div></div></div>All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4463853153069834012.post-57806928249841229182019-08-28T10:31:00.000-07:002020-02-11T05:14:32.142-08:00Dress to Create the Right Impression<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><a class="photo-container" href="https://ezinearticles.com/expert/Susan_Leigh/399535" style="background-color: white; border-radius: 5px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3) 0px 1px 3px; color: #610000; float: left; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; margin: 10px 18.2344px 15px; overflow: hidden; position: relative;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Susan Leigh"><img alt="Expert Author Susan Leigh" class="photo" src="https://ezinearticles.com/members/mem_pics/Susan-Leigh_394131.jpg" style="border: 0px; display: block; max-width: 160px;" title="EzineArticles Expert Author Susan Leigh" /></a><br /><div id="article-body" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "Avenir Next", Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.2em; margin-top: 18px;"><div id="article-content"><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">As the cliche goes, you have one chance to make a first impression, and that is a very true statement. People make up their minds within a short time span of meeting us and it can take a long time to correct that impression if it is the wrong one.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Many factors contribute to that impression. Of course dress and grooming are important. Clean and smart is more important than expensive clothes to most peoples' minds. And there is no excuse for dishevelled, unless you have been caught in a rainstorm or had an accident!</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">The choice of outfit depends on the situation one is going into. However, just because they dress down at the office you are visiting does not necessarily mean that they expect you to do so. As a Counsellor and Business Coach I always wear a suit or smart dress and shoes so that I convey to my clients that I take them and their business seriously. Personally I think that it demonstrates respect: respect for them, respect for myself and my reputation and respect for the work that we are doing together. I could do exactly the same work in jeans and flip-flops but I am certain that it conveys more gravitas and importance when I dress smartly.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">In the early days of multi-millionaire, Richard Branson building his empire from a canal barge it is widely reported that he and his team had one business suit that they kept especially for meetings. The rest of the time they wore jeans and t-shirts, but felt that it was important to convey a professional impression at client meetings.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">One thought about the impression that you convey to others is to consider how you look when you are dressed for business. When did you last update your image? Is it still studenty and bohemian or does it need to be more professional? Maybe have a photograph taken and see yourself as others see you. Or ask friends for honest feedback. Personal shoppers can also be very helpful at times like this. They do not know you but can help with putting together the look that you want and take into account your style and how you present yourself to them. They can help you decide how to pull together the best look for you and your requirements. Knowing that you are dressed well for the situation is a good investment in terms of confidence and self esteem. It reinforces your determination to do well.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Body language is another factor in the impression you create. Take time to breathe calmly and relax before you enter the room. Then pause on entering, look around and quickly get the layout of the room. Taking a few extra seconds to get your bearings is hardly noticeable to others, but gives you the time to feel clear about where you are going to move to next. Relax your shoulders, smile and, if necessary, 'act as if' you are feeling good about this opportunity to present yourself. Surprisingly, the nerves often abate as the pretense becomes more natural.</div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;">Remember that most situations are going be a two way exchange of information. You want to know about the people and situation that you are entering, and they want to know about you. So from an interview situation to a meeting or presentation it is a joint learning situation. Remember that, stay calm and do not be afraid of pauses. Many people speak too quickly when they are stressed. By being dressed well you boost your own personal confidence levels and can feel calmer knowing that you are creating a good impression to others. This enables you to take better control of the situation and feel positive about yourself how you come across to others.</div></div></div></div>All Buzzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02754966070609472784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4463853153069834012.post-68868850179710470692019-08-05T07:41:00.000-07:002020-02-11T05:14:32.215-08:00Mobile App Development Trends in 2018<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><br />After a successful 2017, the mobile app industry is all set to take up and meet challenges in 2018. The mobile development scenario is on the way to maturing and becoming more user- friendly. It aims at integration of business needs and technical issues.<br /><br />Mobile Application Performance Manager<br /><br />Experience in the last year reveals that though the app market has performed well, there are less number of apps downloads per user. Developers are now looking at apps that engage and satisfy users and also encourage regular use of their apps. The aim is to make them technically sound and simultaneously increase the demand for use.<br /><br />Blockchain technology<br /><br />The sudden and meteoric rise in use of Bitcoins has fueled interest in mobile blockchain technology. Developers are ready to latch on to this interest. Their only concern would be to determine the benefits of using the new technology to replace the old SQL database for individual apps.<br /><br />Machine Learning<br /><br />Apple's Core ML Library has introduced built-in ML models. This gives developers a convenient way to include ML technology in iOS apps. in 2018 app developers are expected to leverage this advantage.<br /><br />Chatbots<br /><br />Chatbots were launched in 2016. They created messaging platforms using the bot to be used on websites. This year these bots are set to expand their domain to mobiles. Developers find it easy to use chatbots. They neither have to learn new interface nor do they need to develop native apps that need regular updating.<br /><br />Android Instant App<br /><br />This new entrant is likely to become a favorite this year. It needs no installation and is compatible with all OS. The possibility of embedding it in Google search engines acts as added advantage.<br /><br />Optimized Mobile Page<br /><br />Google AMP makes web browsing on mobiles faster.
